Physical Violence

Hitting, pushing, slapping, punching, strangling, harming with objects, injury and attempted murder. Pushing and slapping, common forms of physical violence, often go unreported by women.

Sexual Violence

Forced sexual intercourse, unwanted and disturbing sexual behaviour, sexual comments and jokes.

Psychological Violence

Humiliation, insults, threats, intimidation, control, yelling, breaking belongings, jealousy-based pressure, social exclusion and silencing.

Economic Violence

Blocking access to livelihoods, forbidding a woman from spending her own income, preventing her from working, indebting her.

Digital Violence

Monitoring, threats, blackmail and sharing private images without consent via the internet and social media.
