Law No. 6284 and Protective Measures
Under Law No. 6284 on the Protection of the Family and Prevention of Violence Against Women, women who are subjected to or at risk of violence can apply to the police or the public prosecutor for protective measures.
Protective measures include restraining orders, allocation of the residence, protection orders and temporary custody. Non-compliance with these orders is subject to criminal sanctions.
